ASSAY PERFORMANCE
25 OH-VD
This assay is to be used as an aid in the assessment of vitamin D sufficiency.
Intended Use
Vitamin D is essential for bone health. In Children, severe deficiency leads to bone-malformation, known as rickets. Milder degrees of insufficiency are believed to cause reduced efficiency in the utilization of dietary calcium. Vitamin D deficiency causes muscle weakness; in elderly, the risk of falling has been attributed to the effect of vitamin D on muscle function.
HbA1c
This assay is intended for the quantitative determination of and % hemoglobin A1c (DCCT/NGSP) in whole blood.
Intended Use
HbA1c determinations are useful monitoring of long-term blood glucose control in individuals with diabetes mellitus. Moreover, this test is to be used as an aid in diagnosis of diabetes and identifying patients who may be at risk for developing diabetes.
